Chris Norris, President

Chris has been a Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office since 2017. Prior to that he served in both paid and volunteer capacities with other law enforcement agencies. His is currently one of the D.A.R.E and School Resource Officers. His current position is extremely rewarding as he gets to help youth learn how to make safe and responsible choices for a bright future.

Since an early age he has seen and understood the importance of service towards the communities we live in. He knows the importance of community policing and having law enforcement partner with the community they serve. Moreover, the community working with law enforcement that serves them. Norris is excited to be a part of the Lewis and Clark Sheriff’s Community Foundation as the foundation will be able to assist the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office with the multiple events, they host to benefit the community. Events like Heroes and Helpers and D.A.R.E Camp that directly benefit and positively impact the youth in our community. Bright is the future of the foundation and how it can support the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office in its vision to enhance the quality of life in Lewis and Clark County.

Rick Davis, Vice President

Rick has spent a lifetime of service. He is a 20 year veteran with the United States Marine Corps, a 26 year veteran of pastoral ministry, a board member of Downtown Helena, INC and The Great Northern Town Center Business District. He currently serves as a reserve deputy with the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office. Rick is also one of the founders of the Annual Semper Fi and America’s Fund All Steel Challenge Benefit Pistol Match that raises thousands of dollars for veterans of all branches that are combat wounded, critically ill, and catastrophically injured U.S. service members and their military family.

Kenny Stockman, Secretary

Kenny, a versatile professional with a rich and diverse background, assumes a crucial role as a board member of the Lewis and Clark Sheriff's Community Foundation. With a robust foundation in IT management and Cloud Computing within the AWS landscape, Kenny is well-versed in navigating the complexities of technology.

Drawing on a past role as the Director of Bands at the middle school level, Kenny brings a unique blend of leadership and organizational skills, refined through experience in the educational sector. This, combined with Kenny's background in the Healthcare and Finance Sectors, as well as contract work at Northrop Grumman, reflects a comprehensive understanding of various industries.

Beyond the professional sphere, Kenny is deeply passionate about local music performances and has made significant contributions to the community through involvement in professional photography, DJing, and managing sound and lighting at various events. This commitment to the local arts scene underscores Kenny's dedication to community engagement and cultural enrichment. Kenny is poised to play a vital role in supporting the Sheriff's office and fostering a stronger, safer community for all.

Sam Heigh, At-Large

Sam retired from a 35-year career with Montana State Fund.  Holding various positions through her tenure, she retired as a Vice President of Operations Support. She has experience with project management, strategic planning, budget, and executive management.  She owns a non-profit business training and deploying certified K9 search and rescue teams where we have deployed in multiple states.   She is a current auxiliary deputy for Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s office and have participated in several projects over the years. 

Sam enjoys serving the community and previously volunteered for 15 years supporting the Intermountain Children’s Home and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. The L & C Sheriff’s Community Foundation is a great way to enhance relationships between law enforcement and our community, especially our youth.   Sam looks forward to helping promote and grow this organization.

 

Cody Criner, At-Large

Cody is a Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office Deputy for over 3 years with prior experience with the Sweet Grass County Sheriff's Office and Bozeman Police Department. He enlisted in the Montana Army National Guard serving 8 years with a deployment to Afghanistan in 2014. Cody attended the University of Montana Western in between duties with the guard before starting a career in law enforcement in 2017. 

Cody’s position in the Sheriff's Office is as a School Resource Officer (SRO) in the East Helena Public Schools as well as a DARE instructor. He enjoys promoting the profession of law enforcement and making positive connections with the youth in our community.  Cody leads and coordinates the “Heroes and Helpers” program that is held annually in December as well as other community related events. These involvements have motivated me be part of the Lewis and Clark Sheriff's Community Foundation. The foundation is a great way to work shoulder to shoulder with our community members. 

Jeff Stoltz, At-Large

Jeff is a serving Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office deputy of 13 years. He is a Montana native and Helena HS alumnus, GO Engineers! He enlisted in the USAF and enjoyed traveling abroad to Germany, Africa, and Iraq. His current position is a School Resource Officer (SRO) in East Helena Public Schools. Jeff enjoys promoting the profession of law enforcement and being a positive role model to students. The partnerships and relationships created while being an SRO have inspired him to be part of the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Foundation. Building and maintaining a thriving community takes many hands, and he wants to contribute.

Mary Hunt, At-Large

Mary is a Montana State University, School of Business graduate.  She has accounting experience in both the private and public sector with 16 years at Montana Tunnels Mining Inc. as Accountant/Controller, and 16 years as Fiscal Manager for the Montana Department of Agriculture.

 She has served on the Helena Amateur Hockey Association board and coordinated the youth hockey cookie dough fundraiser for several years.

 Mary’s love of horses drew her to volunteer her time, caring for the 60 horses seized by the Sheriff’s office from June of 2021 to March of 2022.  Seeing all the good work that the Sheriff’s office does for the community inspired Mary to become a part of this community foundation.
